For 10 years, Durrane served as Vice President/Director of Operations, working alongside her father, Arthur Massaro. Durrane has, and continues to be the main point of contact for all client relationships and projects. In her expanded role, she will continue to manage the day-to-day operations of Columbia with the support of her long-standing, highly expert team of project managers and carpentry staff, while also innovating the company with operational efficiency, modern technology, and her signature client and partner relationship management practices. Durrane, a graduate of the New York University and Boston College, furthered her education by receiving a certificate in construction and pursuing an MBA. Durrane also holds a construction supervisor license.

Arthur Massaro

After 40 years at the helm of Columbia Contracting, Arthur Massaro will continue as a consultant, providing his keen sense of problem solving, guidance and understanding of how to navigate difficult situations, especially with the unique buildings of the Boston area. His knowledge and expertise is invaluable to the Columbia team, and he will continue to offer his insight into the overall industry; and his building expertise.

Massaro founded Columbia Contracting in 1980, after moving back to Boston from Washington, D.C. A Massachusetts native, Massaro moved to D.C. after graduating from Boston University with a degree in business administration. While living in D.C., he found himself drawn to working with his hands and chose to pursue a career in carpentry. After honing his carpentry skills for four years in D.C., he was able to combine his skilled craft and business savvy nature into a budding carpentry business in the Greater Boston area. Massaro became a force in the industry because of his expert knowledge of building expertise, specifically in Boston and throughout New England.
